Step-by-step instructions to find your domain's expiration date in GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Porkbun, Google Domains, and other popular registrars.

How to Check Domain Expiry Date in Your Registrar

You need to find when your domain expires. The steps depend on which registrar you use.

Here's exactly where to look in each of the major registrars, with screenshots-worth-of-detail so you can find it without clicking around aimlessly.

GoDaddy is the world's largest registrar. Here's how to find your expiry date:

1

Log in to your GoDaddy account

Go to godaddy.com and sign in. You'll land on your account dashboard.

2

Navigate to My Products

Click "My Products" in the top navigation, or find it in the menu.

3

Find the Domains section

Scroll to "Domains" or click "Manage All" next to your domains.

4

Track all registrars in one place

Stop logging into multiple accounts. See every domain's expiry date in one dashboard.

Checking Expiry Without Registrar Access

Don't have access to the registrar account? You can still check any domain's expiry via WHOIS:

1

Go to a WHOIS lookup site

Try lookup.icann.org, whois.domaintools.com, or who.is

2

Enter the domain name

Type the domain (e.g., example.com) and search

3

Find Registry Expiry Date

Look for "Registry Expiry Date" or "Expiration Date" in the results

This works for any domain, whether you own it or not.

Why Checking Isn't Enough

Knowing your expiry date is step one. But manually checking across multiple registrars doesn't scale—and it relies on you remembering to check.

Better approach:

Enable auto-renew

First line of defense. But it can fail if payment methods expire.

Set calendar reminders

Manual but effective for a few critical domains.

Use a monitoring tool

Automatic alerts across all registrars. No manual checking required.
